When I retired, my wife and I took time to travel, reset, and embrace this exciting new phase of life. But after settling into our “55+” era, I found myself asking, What’s next?
I wanted to do something meaningful—something that combined my passion for fitness with the opportunity to help others. My wife reminded me of all the times I’d been asked for workout advice at the gym, and she suggested I share my knowledge. That’s when it clicked: I had decades of experience, countless hours in the gym, and insights from professional trainers and athletes. But I wanted to take it a step further.
So, I became a Certified Personal Trainer, with a specialty in Senior fitness for the 55+ community. (Not a fan of the word “Senior” because it somehow implies less capable—and that’s far from the truth!)
I’m in my early 60s, and my commitment to a staying fit lifestyle has allowed me to continue doing what I love—whether it’s tackling physically challenging activities or simply moving through life with ease. There’s still so much I want to explore, and I want my body and mind to keep up so I can make the most of every moment.
That’s why I started Silver Fox Coaching—to help others stay active, strong, and independent for years to come.
You’ve probably seen those coffee mugs that say, “Life is short—be awake for it.”
I believe in something even better:
“Life is short—be fit for it!”
Let’s make the most of our 55+ years together.
